Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if it rains during a performance?
Please see our tickets page to view information regarding rain policy.
What happens at the Box Office the night of each show?
The box office opens soon after 6:15 PM on performance evenings. Tickets are sold and reservations are validated there. Be sure to stop by the box office, even if you already hold a ticket. On some evenings, lines for sold out shows begin forming early, so gauge your desire for front row seats against your willingness to wait in line!
At around 7:00 PM, our House Manager opens the Musicals at Richter grounds for picnicking. All ticket holders enter into the yard to position their blankets and chairs.
Extra chairs are available each night, if you don’t wish to lug your own chairs to Richter.
From 7:00 until 8:00 PM dinner picnics and visiting occurs - what a terrific way to celebrate Summer!
What time does each show start?
8:00 PM. We’re an outdoor theater, so we need to wait for the sun to go down behind the mountains.
Do I have to bring my own dinner?
Of course not. It's a good idea, though, to remember that picnicking groups arrive earlier. If you arrive just at the beginning of a show, you will not likely find seating close to the stage. No worries, though, our stage can be seen well from all locations on the lawn. And remember, we do have a concessions stand if you desire a soda or candy bar.
