Technical Director

Seeking a creative and resourceful Technical Director for the 2017 Summer Season (includes 3 main stage shows).  The Technical Director is responsible for making sure that all technical aspects of a show are carried out in a timely fashion. This includes coordinating the set design and construction, overseeing lighting and sound, and handling any technical details needed during performances.  Other responsibilities include purchasing materials, building and installation of sets and props, managing a scenic budget for each production, and managing tech work days, and the strike and load in of each production. A successful candidate will have strong organizational, time management, and leadership skills, and function well in a fast paced atmosphere.  This position will include some days, nights and weekends; schedule to be discussed. 
There is a stipend available, negotiable based on experience. No housing. Position can be held by one person or multiple people based on shows. Applicants interested in this position should send a current resume with references, a cover letter to MARArtisticDirector@gmail.com.


 

Summer Youth Musical Theater Workshop Staff

Positions Available:

 
Head Counselor:

All Sessions (June 26 - July 21 and July 24 - August 18)

 
Individuals will serve as both an adult responsible for participants during the workshop day and as support staff for workshop directors. Help with the implementation of program activities and assisting participants as they prepare for performance. 


Qualifications and Requirements

Must be in college or older with experience in theatre. Previous teaching or counseling a plus, but not required.

 
Assistant Counselor:

All Sessions (June 26 - July 21 and July 24 - August 18)


Individuals will assist Head counselors during the workshop day and help facilitate rehearsals in the afternoon. Participate in program activities and assist participants while they rehearse their roles for performance.

  

Qualifications and Requirements

Must be 17 or older with experience in theater. Previous teaching or counseling a plus, but not required.

 

 Counselors In Training:

 All Sessions (June 26 - July 21 and July 24 - August 18)

 

Individuals will be training to become Assistant counselors, so they will shadow these counselors throughout the day.  This is an internship program  


Qualifications and Requirements

 Must be 16 or older with experience in theater. 

 

Counselors Collective Goals:

  • Have fun and develop imagination and creativity
  • Help participants as they learn about theatre, dance and music
  • Maintain health and safety standards
  • Assist in running a well-organized workshop program
